Cadmus: Semester 1, 2026 Pilot at UQ
In Semester 1, 2026, selected UQ courses are participating in a pilot using Cadmus for written assessments and group assignments.
Cadmus is an online assessment environment where you complete and submit your assignment directly in your browser. It is designed to support your learning, develop your academic writing skills, and promote fair, secure assessment.
If your course is part of the pilot, CADMUS will be identified in the course profile.
Getting started with Cadmus
You access Cadmus through your course’s assessment link in your course Learn.UQ (Blackboard) site.
Further support and guidance about CADMUS will be made available through relevant courses.
Why UQ is piloting Cadmus
The pilot aims to:
- Support your learning and skill development in academic writing and assessment.
- Provide a structured and transparent assessment environment, with clear task information and resources in one place.
- Offer integrated prompts and resources that encourage independent thinking and critical engagement.
- Promote academic integrity and secure assessment in a context where generative AI tools and advanced text editors are widely used.
- Help teaching staff design and run assessments that align with UQ’s standards for fairness, authenticity, and student experience.
