After completing a Social Science undergraduate degree and a Master of Development Practice at UQ in 2015, Loren began program delivery and research roles within the community sector. Alongside this, Loren completed an internship with the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal and lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In 2017, Loren joined UQ as a Research Assistant with ISSR. After experience in eLearning as the coordinator of the Leadership in Global Development MicroMasters, Loren transitioned to the Course Design and Development group with ITaLI in mid-2018, where she ensures effective delivery of UQ2U and UQx projects. Being passionate about community development and human rights, Loren has experience with Oxfam and the Red Cross, and continues to be active in leading her local Amnesty International Australia group.
