After completing a Social Science undergraduate degree and a Master’s of Development Practice at UQ in 2015, Loren began program delivery and research roles within the community sector. Alongside this, Loren completed an internship with the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal and lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In 2017, Loren joined UQ as a Research Assistant with ISSR. After experience in eLearning as the coordinator of the Leadership in Global Development MicroMasters, Loren transitioned to the Course Design and Development group with ITaLI in mid-2018, where she ensured the effective delivery of UQ2U and UQx projects. By 2019, Loren was exclusively part of the project management team within UQx before taking a maternity break in mid-2020. In 2021 Loren returned to the UQx team in the learning design team.

Being passionate about community development and human rights, Loren has experience with Oxfam, the Red Cross, and Amnesty International, and continues to be active in the local community at the Sunshine Coast.
