A resource on meaningful Acknowledgement of Country
Acknowledging Country is a mark of respect, and a meaningful acknowledgement can be a powerful opportunity to reflect, to demonstrate your understanding of history, and to make significant connections.
This resource has been developed by Associate Professor Katelyn Barney in collaboration with the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation with a focus on how to deliver a meaningful Acknowledgement of Country. The aim is to assist staff and students to think more deeply and reflectively about delivering an Acknowledgement of Country.
The resource is a series of interviews with Indigenous and non-Indigenous staff who provide their personal perspectives on why it is important to deliver a meaningful Acknowledgement of Country and tips on how to do this.
