Katy has been employed at UQ for many years on a variety of learning design projects including at the Central Library. Previously she has focused on Digital Cultures and Societies, Qualitative research for the Humanities and Digital Storytelling.

Katy uses her expertise in digital society and technology to design innovative and engaging online materials. Her research background in human-centred computing and the humanities informs co-design and participatory design processes with academic colleagues.

Katy has a bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Communication Design. Her PhD examines the reciprocal relationships between death, grief, and technology.
