About Assessment redesign for Generative AI

The emergence of Generative AI such as ChatGPT has created significant pressure on some longstanding assessment practices in higher education.

In this session, participants will:

  • explore the key capabilities of Generative AI that have led to the pressure to redesign assessment tasks
  • interrogate the ways assessment needs to be modified and/or completely reimagined in light of the capabilities of GPT-4
  • discuss the short, medium and long-term implications of Generative AI for how we assess students at UQ.
