Peter Rutherford is from a teaching background and has worked in a variety of professional learning focused roles since 2007. He joined The University of Queensland as a Learning Designer in 2014 and has collaborated with colleagues from ITaLI and the wider teaching community to help improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment at UQ. 

Rutherford's current focus is on academic integrity, assessment, professional learning, teacher recognition and supporting teaching staff with their TL&A. He holds a Diploma of Teaching (DipT), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), is currently studying a Graduate Certificate of Education Studies (GCES) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
