About the event

What does Indigenising the curriculum look like in practice?

This showcase highlights examples from across UQ where educators are embedding Indigenous knowledges and perspectives at the activity and course level, while also connecting these efforts to broader program goals and graduate outcomes.

Participants will engage with the UQ Indigenising the Curriculum Guidelines, hear from colleagues leading this work in different disciplines, and explore how local practice contributes to institution-wide commitments. The program is designed to create space for inspiration, deep listening, and knowledge-sharing, while also guiding the alignment of individual initiatives with programmatic and strategic priorities.

Whether you are taking first steps in your teaching or considering curriculum change at the program level, this event offers insights, tools, and conversations to support your journey.

This session will include:

• release of Teaching and Learning Guide: Indigenising Curriculum I presented by Professor Greg Winslett, Professor Tracey Bunda and Louise Ferris
• Teaching Innovation Grant presentation I presented by Associate Professor Katelyn Barney and Professor Tracey Bunda
• Indigenising Curriculum Showcase I presented by Emma Olssen, Terry Fitzimmons and Abbie Trott
• Circle of Practice I presented by Louise Ferris
