About the session

Student experience and success is at the heart of everything we do, and it also shapes how our contributions are recognised. This retreat is a chance for academic and professional staff to come together and explore practical examples of what works across HMBS and reflect on how to articulate the impact of your own role on student success. You’ll leave with fresh ideas, new connections, and a clearer sense of how your everyday work contributes to both student outcomes and your own professional growth.

Key learnings

  • hear directly from students on what defines meaningful learning and belonging
  • explore examples of excellence already happening across HMBS
  • learn how to articulate and evidence your impact, essential for recognition, promotion, and leadership
  • build connections and partnerships that can scale innovation and strengthen UQ’s reputation for student experience.

Presenters

The program features insights from students, academics, professional staff, and partners who are already driving change in student experience and success.
