This session will focus on supporting teaching focussed (TF) academics as they reconsider how they communicate their teaching impact and achievements in the context of their academic portfolio. Examples of how to evidence claims and what counts will be shared, as well as insights from a range of TF academics who have experience with these processes at all levels.

The event will run from 2–3.30pm. From 3.30–4pm, everyone is invited to informal networking over afternoon tea, even if you can not make the whole session.

About UQ Learning & Teaching Focused Network

Coordinated by: Teaching Focused Leadership Group (Associate Professor Kelly Matthews, Dr Ben Barry, Associate Professor Gwen LawrieAssociate Professor Peter Lewis, Dr Allison Mandrusiak, and Ms Ann Wallin)

The UQ Teaching Focused Network is open to all UQ staff interested in scholarly approaches to teaching, although teaching focused (TF) staff are the primary audience. This network connects TF academics from across UQ, promotes sharing of practices, nurtures support for career development, enables consultation on strategic planning, and exchanges information relevant to TF roles.

Each two-hour TF Network event is focused on a topic (topic details listed in events below) for the first 90 minutes followed by networking in the last 30 minutes. Topics are selected through consultation with TF Network members. Each session is facilitated by TF academics. The TF Leadership Group also curates the monthly UQ Teaching Community Update.
