About the session

For several years ITaLI has engaged Principal Practitioners who play a critical role in design thinking approaches to support the academic community at UQ.

To further engage academics across UQ and to share their expertise, the ITaLI Advisory Committee (IAC) considered and supported the introduction of an Affiliate Academic position within ITaLI.

The Affiliate Academic is an academic outreach role offered by ITaLI to UQ academics who can demonstrate expertise in teaching and learning. As an educational champion in their discipline, the Affiliate Academic  will provide a conduit between Schools and ITaLI. They will work with ITaLI staff to build and share expertise to inform new and existing teaching and learning projects and processes. The affiliate will be a champion for teaching and learning in their School enabling cross unit communication and helping to build teaching capability across UQ. The role of an Affiliate is an honorary role and will represent a key contribution to service within the University.
