HDR Supervision Community of Practice
Join the HDR Supervision Community of Practice
We’re excited to launch the HDR Supervision Community of Practice – a dynamic space for both seasoned and new supervisors, as well as early-career researchers keen to further their supervisory expertise.
This initiative aligns with The University of Queensland’s (UQ) commitment to excellence in research supervision; fostering an environment where knowledge-sharing and professional development thrive. Join us in shaping a supportive and innovative supervision landscape at UQ.
Our goals are to:
- enhance understanding: our mission is to broaden awareness within UQ about the significant impact of effective supervision on HDR candidates' educational and professional paths.
- share best-practice: experienced supervisors will share their insights, strategies, successes and failures in guiding research candidates towards completion
- encourage dialogue: participate in candid discussions on key issues like nurturing productive interactions with HDR candidates, overcoming supervision obstacles, and cultivating a vibrant research environment
- enhance supervisory skills: no matter your experience level in research supervision, our community offers a platform to refine your supervision skills
- create a community: connect supervisors with colleagues who are well-versed in the latest supervisory techniques and trends.
