As a Learning Designer, Alex supports the Digital Learning Uplift team to deliver high-quality educational resources across a range of disciplines. She is passionate about lifelong learning with a special interest in supporting students to learn how to learn through deploying relational and reflective pedagogies. Alex was awarded Commendation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning: Tutors (2023) for her work in this area.
Alex has worked in the higher education sector since 2012, with a variety of roles centred on enhancing teaching and learning including: undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, education research, project management, data analysis, resource development, academic administration and governance.
Alex’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from The University of Queensland. She has received professional recognition for her teaching and learning experience and expertise in higher education as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, through her work in education projects, education research and teaching.
