Responsible Use of AI

This session constitutes Part I of a two-part series. The subsequent session, Embedding Responsible Use of AI in Your Course will build upon the ethical considerations discussed in this workshop and apply them to your course context. Attendance at both sessions is recommended.

This Responsible use of AI workshop focuses on developing a shared understanding of responsible AI use. It offers a practical framework for making justifiable, ethical decisions about when to use AI in disciplinary and university contexts. 

We will begin with the basics - what AI is and how it works. Next, we will explore responsible use of AI through a series of scenarios, you will apply ethical considerations to make and defend decisions about AI use.
