Connecting the Dots: Building Coherent Assessment Across Courses and Programs

Assessment is facing growing expectations. We are being asked to support learning, assure standards, be inclusive, incorporate AI, manage workload, and create better student experiences, all at the same time. This workshop brings together educators from across UQ to explore how more coherent approaches to assessment design can help address these challenges. Participants will discuss emerging issues including secure assessment, hurdle requirements, moderation, program-level assessment design and the responsible use of AI, while sharing ideas and building connections with colleagues. The session will create space for collective thinking about the future of assessment at UQ and provide valuable insights to inform the ongoing work of the Assessment Subcommittee and broader assessment initiatives.
