About the session
The session will involve a short presentation of a suite of new online Health Communication Essentials modules followed by a group discussion of how the modules may be applied to your teaching context.
Health Communication has an important role to play in supporting health and wellbeing, no matter your discipline, background or future professional practice. This suite of Health Communication Essentials modules was recently developed as part of the UQ Digital Learning Uplift initiative and will provide your students with a strong grounding in effective health communication.
Each of the modules are distinct, ranging from reflexivity, to advocacy, to creating brave and safer spaces for health communication and all are accompanied by a Facilitator Guide to support you with implementation into your course.
The Health Communication Essentials modules are also recognised as an approved activity for the UQ Employability Award.
