Using Data and Evidence to Support Program Leadership
Program and plan convenors are increasingly asked to make decisions about curriculum, assessment, student experience and program development using a wide range of evidence. But what data is available across UQ, who can help interpret it, and how can convenors use it meaningfully in their roles?
This online Ready to Teach Week session will showcase key sources of data, evidence and insight available to support program and plan convenors in evidence-informed decision making. It will also give convenors an opportunity to help shape the kinds of dashboards, reports, analytics and research outputs that could better support program leadership at UQ in the future.
The session will bring together colleagues from across UQ to provide short, practical examples of the kinds of data and support available, including:
- assessment data and what it can reveal about student learning and progression
- student course survey data and how it can inform program-level conversations
- institutional student experience and strategy-related data
- market, prospective student and current student research.
Participants will hear from colleagues working across the DVCA portfolio, Marketing and Communication, ITaLI and faculty-based data and assessment initiatives. The session will also include time for questions and discussion, allowing convenors to identify the insights they most need, the barriers they currently face, and the forms of reporting or analytics that would make the greatest difference to their work.
Join us for a practical showcase and discussion on how data and evidence can support more informed, strategic and effective program leadership.
