Resources for tutors (2023)
ITaLI offers support within the University's Teaching and Learning framework. Supporting resources to assist staff include:
- ITaLI’s eLearning team is responsible for managing the University's central eLearning systems and tools and offers staff support and training. You can book a personal consultation with an eLearning Adviser.
- You can request help from ITaLI for anything related to:
- teaching, learning and assessment
- eLearning systems and tools
- professional development courses
- learning analytics
- educational research
- evaluation of teaching.
Learn.UQ (Blackboard) is the Learning Management System (LMS) for most UQ courses. Learn.UQ enables the delivery of learning materials including:
- lecture notes, tutorial and learning resources
- collaboration through discussion boards, blogs, wiki tools
- electronic assessment dissemination, submission and grading
- course and participant analytics.
Learn.UQ can be accessed via Learn.UQ and the my.UQ dashboard (click on the Learn.UQ link). Chrome and Firefox are recommended web browsers when using Learn.UQ.
Learn.UQ Help provides detailed information of how to access and use Learn.UQ.
Blackboard can be accessed on your smartphone or tablet with Blackboard Instructor. Students can access Blackboard on the go with the Blackboard App.
ITaLI is UQ’s Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation. We provide teaching and learning expertise and support services for all UQ staff. We can provide guidance in all areas of teaching and learning, assessment, curriculum, analytics, educational research, teaching recognition, and student evaluations.
Liaison librarians are the primary contact for you at the UQ Library. Your liaison librarian:
- is an expert at finding information in your discipline
- can advise you about services for researchers, teaching staff and professional staff
- provides advice and services supporting your research goals
- delivers tailored training and support for your courses.
