2. Bachelor of Advanced Humanities

This program has undergone a review in 2023, which means that much of what the Graduate Attributes require has already been implemented in the review process or has formed part of the program from the outset. The program was conceived from the beginning as a way of building and supporting an interdisciplinary cohort experience, and over time the program has responded pre-emptively to the increasing focus on student employability by including assessment and coursework that pushes students to develop workplace skills.

The program works collaboratively and has done so from its inception, holding regular meetings that feature open discussions of assessment and teaching practices to ensure that the program consistently addresses its own aims, as well as UQ’s Graduate Attributes. The Advanced Humanities program therefore discussed the requirements of the mapping process as a group, and it was agreed that coursework in the program already met these requirements, making it a relatively simple matter to show exactly how these courses address the attributes in teaching and in assessment. Although completion of the mapping was delegated to two people in the team, the mapping was nonetheless underpinned by the program’s collaborative approach to curriculum design.
