Course Evaluations System Replacement Project
UQ has transitioned to a new platform, Blue, for delivering course and teaching feedback (SECaT and SETutor surveys) from Semester 1. 2025. This upgrade has significantly improved staff and student experience of managing and providing feedback, optimised system performance and enhanced data management processes.

The Course Evaluations System Replacement Project upgraded UQ’s platform for students to provide course teaching feedback.

Why UQ moved to a new system, Blue
To provide simpler, more user-friendly experience for both staff and students
Key improvements in the new system include:
- User Experience: Features a modern interface with an improved dashboard for easier navigation and enhanced search functionality. One survey per course, combining course, teaching and tutor questionnaires in a unified design.
- Improved Ease of Access: Each course now has a single survey link for students. Course coordinator and teaching staff have access to Subject Management, where you can view survey details, including response rates and QR codes. Reports list where you can access and download individual reports.
- “Real-time” response Rate Monitoring: Enables real-time monitoring of response rates for Course Contributors and School/Faculty Executives.
- Reliability: Offers better support and a more reliable system performance during peak evaluation periods.
- Improved Data Quality: Mitigates data quality issues, leading to more accurate and reliable insights.
- Streamlined Administration: Reduces administrative workload through simplified survey management, data preparation, and reporting.
