Course overview
Designing an effective curriculum for learning requires building on foundational higher education teaching and learning capabilities – to not just see the bigger picture, but to put all the pieces in the right places at the right times.
Building upon your understanding of how students learn, Curriculum Design at UQ aims to focus on your teaching practice in your context. This course aims to develop your knowledge, comprehension and application of skills in curriculum and assessment design and selection of pedagogies most appropriate to your discipline area.
This course will support you, through an experiential learning opportunity, to actively design (or re-design) a curriculum framework for an actual learning opportunity. Feedback on your curriculum design is embedded throughout the course, enabling you to piece together the why, who, when, and how of designing a cohesive learning opportunity for your students.
For information on learning outcomes, assessment, learning resources, and learning activities please refer to the Curriculum Design at UQ (EDHE6002) listing in UQ’s Program and Courses catalogue.
Curriculum Design at UQ is free to UQ staff.
