Teaching response to 2022 floods
In response to the floods affecting Queensland’s south-east corner in February/March 2022, all teaching was paused for the week beginning Monday 28 February.
Last updated: Saturday 5 March 2022
Semester 1 will remain a 13-week teaching period, meaning that for most students, classes for Semester 1 will now end on Saturday 4 June 2022. The Academic Calendar has also been updated.

Electronic Course Profiles (ECPs) and Assessment
Academic staff can start to update their Electronic Course Profiles (ECPs), reworking them according to the adjusted 13-week teaching period. The ECPs will remain open until at least 14 March to support this activity.
In most courses, assessment due dates will shift in line with the change to the teaching weeks.
Timetabling
The Academic Service Division Timetabling team will work with staff in faculties and schools to shift the timetable by one week and to retain special events where possible, for example field trips, as required.
Any ad-hoc bookings not coordinated through central timetabling (e.g. Union building reservations for school-based exams, rooms booked through UQBookit, etc.) will need to be modified by school or faculty staff as necessary.
My Timetable will be available again for students from Saturday 5 March 2022 at 12pm (noon). Student timetables have been updated in line with the adjusted academic calendar.
Placements
Placements can continue as per current arrangements if the provider is able to operate and the student is able to access the site safely. Any changes to the dates of placements will need to be negotiated between the relevant school and sites. We will continue to communicate to students that their faculty will be in contact to discuss their individual placement circumstances.
